Hello there, my name is Lex.
Traveling anywhere and everywhere.
These days, you’ll find me living and exploring in Colorado with my husband and our two pups. We take every chance we get to experience the beauty of North America—while still sneaking in international trips, of course. I hope that along the way, my stories inspire you to write your own.
My favorite trips to date:
I come from a place where a “traffic jam” means three cars stuck behind a tractor.
A place with great colleges and universities all within an hour—so close, in fact, that leaving almost feels unnecessary. Almost. I left because I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more beyond my small town, and I needed to see it for myself.
That curiosity led me to pack up my life and drive 800 miles south for college. Apparently, that still wasn’t far enough. At 19, during my sophomore year, I set off for Germany, where I studied the German language in Frankfurt am Main. When the semester ended, I didn’t go home—I stayed to backpack Europe solo. Later, I returned to Berlin for a summer internship. For a long time, I truly believed I’d move to Germany someday. Maybe I still will.
Since my time abroad—and since college—I’ve returned to Europe several times, including for my wedding in Italy. I’ve been captivated by fleeting conversations with strangers, the smells drifting from shop windows, unfamiliar flavors, and the constant feeling of learning something new.

I love a photo with the Eiffel tower or Trevi Fountain as much as the next girl. But my favorite memories when traveling? They are the moments we’ve made conversation with a local that’s telling us hidden gems with the best food or views.
